Why We Swim Open Water On CAST
Returning College Swimmers
Being on time for practice
Please make every effort to have your swimmers at practice on time. Realize that your child is working hard, so please give them all the support you can. As most of our swimmers are not old enough to drive themselves to practice, parents, it is up to you to get them to the pool on time. Not only are we developing the character of our children by being on time, we are enhancing their practice time. We ask that swimmers be on deck 10 minutes before practice/stretching begins so we can get the most out of our time. Repeated tardiness due to laziness (i.e., standing on deck, sitting in spa, fooling around) will be dealt with by the coaching staff, and the parents will be contacted.
Parents on Deck
CAST trains at the Coeur d' Alene Kroc Center, therefore we are unable to apply a parent on deck policy, nor would we. However, please use good judgment when talking to the coaches and stay out of our deck space with the children. If your son or daughter needs you, we will find you. Most importantly parents, please, please don’t coach your children during practice. If you have any comments or input, please wait for the appropriate time.
